Ok, 2007 was a really crazy year for us because of the amount of orders and issues here and there, and 2008 is looking to be up..but not out of the woods yet.
Be advised now, that the current turnaround time for any order placed after now is not 5 1/2 weeks. I try and aim for that deadline, but we get so many orders a day that it’s almost time to hire people and move into a building..or sweat shop. It’s gotten that big now.

So if your order takes longer than 5 1/2 weeks please do not email me about where it is at, or that it has been 5 1/2 weeks. Or 6..or 7.

I currently have 160+ orders that each take about 7 hours a piece to make. I average about 3 full orders a day on that ratio. So as you can see Im quite up to my armpits in order debt.

I am going as fast as humanly possible and trying to get everybodies orders out as quickly as possible. I have some really old orders to get to first, such as those who forget to click the return to merchant link and then email me about it months later.

I get hundreds of emails a day about orders, questions etc etc. I try and answer all of them as best I can, but If you dont get an email back it’s because Im not responding to emails about “it’s been 2 days, wheres my order” and such things.

Jaded Dreads as a business has become an empire almost overnight and since it’s only 2 people running the show, the ringmaster is becoming very tired and stressed about the amount of peanuts being thrown at him.

And to answer some emails about me being shady/fraudulent..Im not. Im a real guy, with a real business, who is really busy trying to maintain and keep everybody as happy as possible.

So in a nutshell, turnaround time may be longer than expected/stated. Like I said, were only two people, who honestly really get no or little sleep at times because we’re trying to play catch up with everybody.

I hope you understand and we can’t express how much your patience is appriciated.

I ordered dreads and sent off a money order over a month ago getting well close to two months. I if I do not get a response to this messege within 3 days I am sueing your asses.

How to respond…hrm..I know.

1: The order wasnt made until Nov. 21st
2: The check wasnt postmarked until Dec 3rd.
3: During most of Dec, I was out of town on a family emergency, that was posted all over the website.
4: The check cleared on Jan 7th-ish
5: Turnaround time…remember that?

I already paid, but now your awaiting payment?!?!

Money Question

Customer “R” wrote in that she had already paid via Paypal and that her order isn’t being shown on the site…so I wrote back:

hey
The reason they are still in your cart is because of the return to merchant bug with paypal. It’s posted all over the site that customers must click the link to return to our website or we wont get your order but paypal will debit your account.
So in a nutshell, paypal holds the money, but wont tell us what you ordered.

How to rectify it:
1: Log into your account
2: Re-submit your order that is still in your shopping cart but chosoe check/money order instead of paypal so you dont have to pay again. This is just so i can see what your order is and the specs of them.
3: Submit, no need to worry about return to merchant clicking since it’s not going through paypal.

Also, even if it’s been 2 weeks, please read the turnaround time, also posted on the site, about orders and the turnaround time being 5 1/2 weeks sooner or later.

Im only one guy that can go as fast as humanly possible.

She then writes back after following the steps:

i did what you said in your email and its say that your still awaiting payment?!

And the answer to that is :

Hi
No need to worry. Our system works like this:
If somebody pays through paypal and clicks the return to merchant link…the order goes automatically into a folder on our site called Payment Received

If somebody pays through paypal and forgets to click the link, thus having their order not show up on the site and are made to re-submit as I said..or..if there is a ligetimate check/money order coming through snail mail, those orders automatiically get sent to a folder called Awaiting payment.

For the order that come via paypal-resubmission, there is no need to repay..just have to wait for me to move your order into the payment already received folder.

Remember..if you are re-submitting an order because of the “Return to merchant” bug with paypal, then disregard the “your order wont be completed until payment is received” and being in the awaiting payment folder.

You’ll just have to wait until I get a chance to move your re-submission to our payment received already folder. Dont worry either! You wont lose your place in line :)

Hi, i’m going to be buying a pair of the custom hypnotix custom goggles from you for my boyfriend, and I wanted the lenses to have a custom design. I specified i wanted that in the order(haven’t paid for it yet) but i’m not sure how to get the design to you. Should i upload the design online then put it in the comments section with the order? Just wanted to make sure before i messed anything up on the order xD

The graphic can be uploaded on website, myspace, wherever or you can mail it to me here as an attachment. (please no virus’s or i may have to hunt you down) :^)

Havent cashed it yet. (sorry for lack of emails too, been hectic trying to stay on top of orders and make plans on going out of state to visit my wifes grandma because she is very ill). So i havent even had time to go and open an account with it yet.
I plan on doing it sometime in the next week or so though, but dont worry. Regardless of when I cash it (even if it’s in like Janurary) you’ll still be in the same spot when you ordered. You dont start in the back of the list because of that. :)

Yes of course,
All you’d have to do is order the average length falls with the colors of black, red, red (or black) whichever!
In the comments section just ask that you’d like them to be the Emily set if theres any confusion :^)

Hi C.
All lights were tested before leaving as i always do to make sure they are in working order beforehand, but sometimes things happen I understand.

Heres a couple solutions to try..

Try un tightening the problem light so you can pull out the batteries..and then tighten it back on with batteries in different posistions. SOmetimes for some reason having the batteries switched makes a difference.

There may also be a peice of plastic that is guarding the light batteries..pull that out if needed.

If all else fails, you can replace the batteries (They are AC3 i believe). You can take the battery into any place that carries watch batteries and look for the same size.

If that still fails, send them back to me and I will replace the whole thing for you for free. :)

I took apart the bad light to see if I could change battery positions to get it to work. This one is the only one that doesn’t have a plastic guard and the top disk has fallen apart. It is not a solid metal disk like the other ones. It has a foil coat that has peeled off and it feels like cardboard. Possibly this is the problem. If I can replace this disk, then I believe I can get it to work. Can you send me that piece or can I find it someone else, like a electronic store? Let me know. Thanks. C.

So I wrote back:

I can send you that piece no problem. What it is supposed to be is a magnet seperator.
I know what your talking about with the flaking part..i try my best to NOT ship them like that and put in better non flaky magnets that get shipped with the lights. (I personally hate that!)

But i suppose I missed one! Ill even send some new batteries for you just in case :)

And if that doesn’t work, then feel free to send them back and I will just make you a whole new pair fresh for you..and make sure everything is working as it should be :)
